Bike rental - ESN Haderslev

Event Description

You have to pay the deposit and pay for the number of months you want to rent a bike.

By registering, you agree to our Terms and that you have read our Data Use Policy, including our Cookie Use.

Terms:

ESN Haderslev will rent out one bicycle, one lock, and one hi-visibility vest to the named student, known herein as “the Student”, with the conditions described below.
The Student must pay the deposit and the rental fee for the first month in advance.
The Student must pay a 500 DKK deposit for the bicycle, separately.
The Student must pay their monthly rental fee no later than the 5th day of each month.
All payments must be made in cash or bank transfer or online payment.
The bicycle is made available to the student from the date the deposit is paid to ESN Haderslev. The bicycles must then be inspected and prepared for the arrival of new students/Erasmus students in the coming semester.
The bicycles will be presented in pristine condition, and Student will accept responsibility and is expected to return it in the same condition.
If the Student returns the bicycle, lock, or hi-visibility vest with any major damage, ESN Haderslev has the right to keep a part of or the entirety of the Student’s deposit, dependent on the severity.
In the unlikely case that the rented bicycle is stolen, the Student will be required to pay the full value of the bicycle, which is around 3000 DKK and the deposit will be also held back. If the lock or hi-visibility vest is stolen, ESN Haderslev has the right to keep a part of or the entirety of the Student’s deposit.

Monthly rental fee:

with ESN membership: 50 DKK.

Appendix 1 contains advice on reducing the risk of bike theft but does not guarantee protection against theft.

Appendix 1:

The monthly rental fee covers the Student for basic maintenance.
In case of a flat tire or any other form of minor damage, the Student may get it professionally repaired and ESN Haderslev will refund the cost up to 200 DKK if invoice(s) or receipt(s) are presented.

The Student accepts responsibility for the bicycle’s condition and must do everything in their power to keep the bicycle in a pristine condition.

The Student is solely responsible for making sure that the bicycle is safe to use before transit, as well as their own safety, and the safety of other pedestrians whilst using the bicycle. ESN Haderslev is not responsible for any damage related to the use of the bicycle.
